Kid walks inside and immediately takes off pants. Me: Why did you take your pants off? Kid: Because I’m home.

Kid’s living my dream…….

I WFH.

As soon as my shift ends my pants are off.

No: I don’t work without pants on. We have had so many employees stand up on video calls without pants, and I do not want to be one of them.

One of my old coworkers had his screen off the entire time. Halfway through the meeting our tech lead asks him a question.

While trying to turn on his mic, he accidentally turns on his camera for like 4 seconds. We got a perfect body shot of him shitting on the toilet, no shirt and boxers down to his ankles with his phone is in his other hand. He must’ve had his laptop sitting on his bathroom counter angled down. He quickly turned it off. We all saw it.

The meeting went dead silent for like 10 seconds. It felt like an eternity. My tech lead was sitting in shock open mouthed and was like “um o-okay, maybe someone else can answer that…”.

Like 5 minutes later my coworker types in the chat and said “sorry guys my breakfast burrito was a mistake ☹️”. It was SO fucking funny. I was crying laughing. Our tech lead just ended the meeting early because anytime someone went to talk they started laughing like halfway through.

(It was a startup, so we didn’t have an HR. He didn’t get in trouble for it. It did become a running joke anytime someone was late or needed a sick day it’s because of a breakfast burrito lmao).

I feel terrible for your coworker but this made me cry laugh

u/Hefty-Rub7669 2d ago edited 1d ago

He took it like a champ and made a few jokes about it. He was super relaxed and hardworking, so it was honestly the best person it could’ve happened too.

If it was me I would’ve just quit on the spot. That’s the kinda stuff that would keep me up at night years later lmaooooo.

u/Nauin 2d ago

I'm just imagining him spending those five minutes on the toilet mulling over all of the different responses he could give in that situation.

Thank you for sharing, that is really goddamn funny.

49

u/RyghtHandMan 1d ago

super relaxed and hardworking

The type that cares enough about the meeting to bring it with him instead of saying brb in the chat

36

u/zorggalacticus 1d ago

In college we had an assembly once. The speaker was wearing a wireless mic. He excused himself to go to the bathroom after his speech, but never turned off the mic. A minute or two later over the speakers we hear grunting/straining noises with lots of farts and splashing noises, along with some swearing. I've never seen a sound guy run so fast to get to the controls.

17

u/aspartame_junky 2d ago

Where will you be.....

34

u/LadyBug_0570 2d ago

OMG, the fact he followed it up was even worse.

90

u/Moohamin12 2d ago

My man owned up to his fk up.

Gotta respect that.

-34

u/LadyBug_0570 2d ago

Yeah, but... Everyone would've just pretended it didn't happen. Now they can't.

40

u/ethanlan 2d ago

That never really works. In that situation you either become the creepy bathroom guy and maybe possibly get fired or own it and be the guy who did it on accident and maybe get fired.

Noones gonna forget that if you pretend like it never happened. If your boss is gonna involve HR or fire you that's gonna happen regardless might as well try to salvage the situation

2

u/LadyBug_0570 2d ago

Dude should've at least out a t-shirt on. 🤣🤣🤣

2

u/aesthe 1d ago

Ew who shits with a shirt on?

78

u/TheDirtyVicarII 2d ago

I wore short pants to work year round. One day jeans because it was below 0 f. Coworker exclaimed I'm not used to seeing you in pants... everyone slowly turned and looked at her as she realized what she said...

34

u/ethanlan 2d ago

Ok that's really funny and totally innocent lmao.

Your poor coworker was probably terrified :(

7

u/Weird-one0926 2d ago

Underrated comment here!

84

u/[deleted] 2d ago

Same. They also had to make a rule that you had to wear a shirt because some guy was shirtless once. Also no vaping because some guy kept blowing smoke into his camera……

u/EskimoPrisoner 2d ago edited 2d ago

Some people really ruin it for the rest of us.

32

u/Goose1963 2d ago edited 2d ago

We were ordered to return to office. A few weeks in the entire department got an email from HR stating "eating at your desk is prohibited" with no explanation. Word quickly got around that it was because someone was chewing loudly on a Teams meeting. A retraction was sent out before the day ended.

5

u/iiiiiiiiiijjjjjj 2d ago

Take those pants off now.

3

u/Is_Unable 2d ago

My Dad works from home and he never wears pants. Only PJ shorts.

20

u/Miltrivd 2d ago

I mean, I do the same. I've done the same for the past 15 years.

I'm always told when people are visiting just so I know when to wear pants.

12

u/CyberInTheMembrane 2d ago

nothing stopping you from living your own dream

I never wear clothes when I'm home unless I have company

6

u/Chickenmangoboom 2d ago

I noticed that I would tilt while playing video games after work. I don't know why but I somehow concluded that wearing pants was the reason. I started switching to shorts as soon as I got home and I don't tilt anymore even though I suck at the games just as much.

3

u/Abject_Champion3966 2d ago

To be fair, I do the same thing to Mr. Champion after a long day of work.

2

u/Azrael11 2d ago

Sounds like my wife

2

u/donkeybotherer 2d ago

Who doesn't take their pants off when they get home? It's the second thing to do after I take my shoes off.

1

u/Youutternincompoop 1d ago

this is me but shirts

1

u/Mental-Nothings 1d ago

I’m 28 and I do the same thing 😂 my work pants have a special place (my couch) that I put them as soon as I walk into the house

1

u/elwood2711 1d ago

Why should ot be a dream? It's your house, so you can walk around naked if you like.

u/Spider-ayush 2d ago

I read it as Tiddies up

395

u/KamakaziDemiGod 2d ago

I read it that way every damn time I see this meme

191

u/sweetnesssymphony 2d ago

In my mind I was agreeing. "Bra, check."

40

u/galaxyeyes47 1d ago

Yea, read it as “ppl coming over, bra on, tiddies up.” 😂

77

u/odd-wad 2d ago

Hahah so glad it wasn't just me who read it "titties"

22

u/3_quarterling_rogue 2d ago

I’m more concerned that I didn’t at all question it.

5

u/boyerizm 1d ago

I mean tiddies and bbq sounds like a grand time

23

u/BoulderFreeZone 2d ago

I thought it was a clever way of saying they were going to put on a bra.

30

u/Former_Actuator4633 2d ago

"Company's on the way!"
Me: Titties up
Husband: Ass out
Toddler: null

12

u/Swooppk 2d ago

Me too, I assumed she was just a fan of the marvelous ms maisel haha

3

u/ShataraBankhead 1d ago

Tits up! I say that to myself when I'm slumping over and need to straighten up. My husband taps my back and says it.

11

u/Luiz_Fell 2d ago

What is it supposed to be?

51

u/gothtopus-108 2d ago

Tidy like cleaning

-26

u/Luiz_Fell 2d ago

Oooh! Shouldn't it be "tides" then?

29

u/walphin45 2d ago

No, in English, when a word ends in a 'y', the present conjugation for he/she/it ends with an 'ies'. For example, 'tidy' turns into 'tidies' (he tidies), and 'fly' turns into 'flies' (she flies). Same with the past with 'ied'. Plurals of these words usually follow the same rule, so 'sky' turns into 'skies', 'housefly' turns into 'houseflies', so on and so forth.

15

u/jwizard95 2d ago

Past tense example: I flied to California last weekend

/s

12

u/walphin45 2d ago

I hate English grammar so much man LMAO

27

u/I_am_Bob 2d ago

Tiddies go in Tiddies go out can't explain that

2

u/UnhappyImprovement53 1d ago

I read it as this until I read this comment. I didn't understand why she was pushing her tiddies up

3

u/Frosty_Can_6569 2d ago

I was thinking and trying to decide if that was another version of saying “cowboy up” that I just hadn’t heard before

3

u/Simicrop 1d ago

I’m going to start saying tiddies up when making myself look presentable.

2

u/pfritzmorkin 2d ago

Same, and i didn't realize my mistake until I read your comment.

2

u/Friendly_Engineer_ 2d ago

Ironically, if you start with tiddies you get the extra D for free

2

u/WhoahACrow 2d ago

So did I

1

u/_Error__404_ 1d ago

i did too, and i didnt even question it

1

u/crackermacker 2d ago

Glad I’m not the only creep

-1

u/Both-Home-6235 2d ago

That was the point, duh

171

u/yupitsanalt 2d ago

Never failed that on every play date when they were between about 18 months and 3 yrs my kids ever went to, one kid ended up naked. Never the same kid though and it never made sense why they decided it was time to just strip down.

3

u/No-Reality8781 7h ago

Me and my cousin were "caught" playing the Wii naked something about clothes just restricts you not enough joint mobility for play time ig or sum

372

u/Wyldling_42 2d ago

My middle boy was so against clothes that he would come home from school, and once the door closed behind him, he was stripped down to his underwear by the time he reached the kitchen for his snack. This was about a 20ft path, fyi.

Didn’t matter how cold it was outside, this routine was standard from 3rd-6th grade. I asked him why, and he said “it just felt better without clothes”.

85

u/Lizards_are_cool 2d ago

Could be an allergy to the fabrics or detergent.

111

u/Wyldling_42 2d ago

He left his underwear on and never complained about being itchy or uncomfortable that way, he just hated wearing clothes in general. Even now, as an adult, he walks around in only shorts (not boxers, actual shorts) when he is at home (any time he doesn’t need to be dressed). Just more comfortable like that.

58

u/TheSecretNewbie 2d ago

My autistic brother is like this. Until the fifth grade he would strip down to his underwear the second we were in the house

35

u/Wyldling_42 2d ago

He was evaluated when he was in 3rd grade but was not diagnosed. He has not mentioned if he’s revisited that as an adult, at least so far. We just had the rule if people were coming over, he had to keep pants or shorts on, he never had an issue with it.

16

u/ibexify 2d ago

I'm 32 and I'm the same way. Came home early from work today and the first thing I did was take my pants off. I hate pants.

10

u/Somewhat_Ill_Advised 1d ago

That’s my autistic daughter. We call the president of the nudist society. It’s a royal battle keeping clothes on her, and we’ve entirely given up the battle on a bra. Not worth the melt downs!

2

u/CollectingRainbows 1d ago

i like to keep my apartment warm and just wear underwear and a tank top or r shirt. very comfortable lol

8

u/tacobuffetsurprise 2d ago

Non-cotton clothes are incredibly itchy and annoying. Especially if there's any amount of sweating.

6

u/Youutternincompoop 1d ago

could just be the fact that it does feel better without clothes.

like ok maybe some pajamas do feel better than being nude but a lot of clothes are just worse.

2

u/notMy_ReelName 1d ago

Same with my brother just in his undies or just in a short of pestered .

On the other side I like to have full clothes on.

1

u/BlackSmithOP 1d ago

I did this until 5th grade lmao. Maybe that's when the whole embarrassment kicked in

113

u/Bulgeman9000 2d ago

I'm single with no kids so it's up to me to do all three

31

u/actibus_consequatur 1d ago

Same, but sadly my package is likely nowhere as impressive as yours is, Bulgeman9000.

3

u/LadyBug_0570 2d ago

Including getting naked?

66

u/exgiexpcv 2d ago

Her husband is firing up the grill to provide tasty food, her child is prepping for barbecue so as not to get their clothes dirty, and here's mama complaining.

34

u/VizAnya 2d ago

When my son was two, he took off all his clothes and teabagged all the bowls of chips at his sisters birthday party. And he did it all while defiantly staring into the eyes of our guests.

30

u/bex021 2d ago

When I was 5 my parents had guests over. This was a complete rarity in my household. I don't ever remember them having anyone but family over before, or after this. Because I knew this was a special event, I decided to get dressed up. I had a fancy pair of tights that was too big for me (hand-me downs) that I knew would be just perfect. So, I put them on, pulled them all the way up to my armpits, added my dress shoes and my favorite headband and went downstairs to greet the guests.

1

u/DeceaPrauphet 1d ago

Like a boss !

26

u/hillywolf 2d ago

Isn't that the standard procedure?

277

u/ahorsenamedagro 2d ago

"What the hell does her boobs have to do with this???!"

It shamefully took me way too long to figure out it was "tidy's" and not "tiddies."

39

u/CorsoReno 2d ago

I got yelled at as a kid for asking my dad what the big bucket of “Titty Cat” in our basement was

13

u/Solid-Consequence-50 2d ago

Did you find out what it was?

12

u/AssumeTheFetal 2d ago

Dont act like you've never needed a bucket of titty cat.

15

u/Corschach_ 2d ago

Tidy's would be like belonging to Tidy

2

u/tacobuffetsurprise 2d ago

Tell that to it's.

15

u/AnarchoBratzdoll 2d ago

They've been working out 🤷🏽‍♀️

16

u/popoojelly 2d ago

I read tiddies up and completely accepted it even went "hell yeah"

8

u/haikusbot 2d ago

I read tiddies up

And completely accepted

It even went "hell yeah"

5

u/DystopianNPC 2d ago

Toddlers are adorable little agents of chaos. That's why.

5

u/Fancy-Damage1877 2d ago

I read "tiddies up"

4

u/CaliforniaNavyDude 2d ago

I wonder if it's for attention because both parents have busied themselves with other things and they feel left out? Or it'd just be the normal random toddler chaos. I remember one time I was chilling in a little pool one hot summer day and my little cousin wandered up and peed in it. They do weird crap without a thought all the time, it's amazing any reach adulthood.

3

u/SourceNagger 2d ago

i misread "tiddies up" 🫠

3

u/4later7 2d ago

I was that kind of child and my mother didn't try to correct this behavior so I would say that she only had naked photos of me until I was 9 years old

3

u/onethirtyseven_ 2d ago

I read this as titties up

3

u/FallenRaptor 2d ago

Because the importance of keeping one’s pants on is a learned behaviour that has yet to be instilled in a toddler, who has no concept of what’s culturally appropriate.

3

u/Homeless_Appletree 1d ago

Half of the comments: Sharing similar anecdotes

Other half: " heh, tiddies up."

8

u/gb1609 2d ago

Because it's a toddler

2

u/rodu8525 2d ago

I read it as tiddies up lmfao

2

u/jamesfluker 1d ago

I read this as "tiddies up" and was very confused.

2

u/mrlotato 1d ago

It's okay for you to put your tidies up, but your kid has to wear all their clothes?

2

u/Random_thorn4615 1d ago

Lol 🤣 why's I read this as "tiddies up"

2

u/mazumi 1d ago

I read that as "tiddies up" and until I got to the toddler part I thought they just sounded fun as hell

1

u/rdazzle77 2d ago

Read this as “tiddies up” like on Marvelous Mrs. Mazel- Tits up. This BBQ was going to be the event of the season.

1

u/IshyTheLegit 2d ago

It’s time to partay!

1

u/radio-morioh-cho 2d ago

I know, sometimes my dad started the grill when people came over and there wasn't any applicable meat or veggies lol. Habits gonna have it

1

u/Original-Presence-72 1d ago

Baby back ribs

1

u/Tiny_Cup_9060 1d ago

Them diapers cause rashes. Better to let things air out.

1

u/lolapops 1d ago

My youngest... She would leave a trail of clothing as she made her way through the house. Shoes off immediately. Pants left in the bathroom. Shirt near the sofa....

Just a child who couldn't be bothered with clothes when she got home!!

Getting her into them in the mornings was a negotiation as well.

1

u/DreamingofRlyeh 1d ago

When my youngest sister was a toddler, she started stripping in church. My dad had to take her outside to get her to stop.

Fortunately, it was winter, so she started with afew extra layers

1

u/TheAngryFlipFlop 1d ago

I’m actually so stupid I read tides up as tiddies up and was so confused as to what was going on.

And then the reading comprehension that left my brain decided to come back.

1

u/liverdawg 1d ago

Dog: shits on the floor

1

u/Bhaaldukar 1d ago

Toddler "You should have told me it wasn't that kind of party"

1

u/HellsSnack 1d ago

I remember coming home from church every week as a young kiddo I would always remove my shoes, dress, and hair ties, then stop there because I was comfortable. I’d spend the evening running around the house in an undershirt, underwear, and tights lmao

1

u/Even_Beautiful_1995 1d ago

I read that as "Tiddies Up" multiple times... I need more sleep.

1

u/Playful-Village-9989 1d ago

I think he is just sweating from the heat of fire

1

u/Actual_Law_505 1d ago

1

u/Saxboard4Cox 21h ago

My younger brother used to come home from school, drop his pants, and run crying to the bathroom. He was upset because he pants were restricting his leg movement. He also was an escape artist at bath time running around the house free as bird covered in bubbles and suds laughing his head off.

1

u/Moltorell 14h ago

Every family has their own party prep rituals.

Do all women tape their tidies up when company is coming over?
