I've seen some adults with the same knowledge of physical security.

Let me just lock my bike/scooter around this open topped pole

I remember a video of a russian (?) grandpa locking his fridge with a chain and padlock, but the dude who filmed the video managed to open it just like the dad on the video.

The way she yelled 😭

She's definitely hiding a body in there

I love you, and don't misunderstand this question, we love you no matter what.

Why is there a dead bird in your purse?

The lock was useless but the alarm was efficient

Honest reaction when you learn you parent is a wizard

Always a priceless reaction

the most skilled of animators, the most skilled of actors, couldn't replicate the subtlety yet bravado of emotion that swept that child's face

God, it's the face of my little sister when she was just a wee brat.

That perfect look of purity (and arrogance) right be for the crushing reality.

To add salt to the injury, i would pull on the shackle and would find the loose spots in the wheels(gates) to open it.

Edit: to those commenting about it, i intentionally mixed both 'rubbing salt in the wound' and 'add insult to injury'

"This is the LockPickingLawyer and today I have..."

...a crying child.

"Was that the lock of 87?!"

To add salt to the injury

I've heard "rubbing salt in the wound" and "add insult to injury", but this just feels wrong

u/RxHappy 19h ago

When you sprinkle the salt instead of rubbing it in

3

u/pedrohschv 16h ago

It was probably translated from another language, like "Tacar sal na ferida" in portuguese

1

u/majds1 11h ago

I think it's a r/boneappletea

1

u/xgabipandax 10h ago

Nope, doesn't qualify as such, i just mixed two things to make a new one because i knew it would trigger redditors to comment.

1

u/I_hate_all_of_ewe 5h ago

This doesn't pass the smell test, but ok

1

u/xgabipandax 10h ago

I ntentionally mixed both 'rubbing salt in the wound' and 'add insult to injury', so it would be a more engaging comment.

1

u/I_hate_all_of_ewe 5h ago

I'm just imagineering someone uselessly rubbing salt on a bruise or fracture.

The look of terror. What is in there?

19

u/SylviaMoonbeam 22h ago

She’s afraid of people looking in “the pee drawer”

7

u/lontii 1d ago

she was terrified

The laugh, lol.

Knowing to speak mandarin make it even funnier

Are those Uni Mitsubishi / Emott fineliners? Those are expensive.

1

u/TwincessAhsokaAarmau 9h ago

So where is the pencil case from?

1

u/GreyMatt3rs 4h ago

I've done something similar tbh lol. It's an osprey bag and the zipper pulls have holes at the base you can put the lock through, but the pull which are like idk 3 inches long have holes at the top too. So in a rush I've definitely put it through that and yeah it opens like a 6 inch gap lmao

1

u/Jolly_Rutabaga1260 2h ago

She's angry and afraid about her own stupidity

1

u/BiggAssMama 1h ago

The instant look of defeat on her face

-24

u/JohnThatFurryGuy 1d ago

Bruh what'd she have in their

32

u/TaibhseSD 1d ago

I'm thinking perhaps a dictionary?

Sorry for the bad joke. It was because of your use of the word "their" when you meant "there". 😁

-48

u/JohnThatFurryGuy 1d ago

Whateva grammar police

21

u/TaibhseSD 1d ago

Yep. That's about the kind of reply I would expect from someone who uses words like "bruh" and "whateva" in a sentence.

Your comments are amusing, if not a scathing rebuke on our public education system. So, good on you for that, I guess.

4

u/-The-Follower 18h ago

Bruh and whateva are perfectly justifiable slang? I see no reason to be this pedantic.

-7

u/TaibhseSD 17h ago

perfectly justifiable slang

Thank you for acknowledging my point. Slang, by it's very definition, is most certainly not considered to be a form of "educated" speech. Thus, my initial point about the scathing rebuke of the public education system is definitely valid.

Further to the point, OP felt the need to reply to a friendly grammatical correction by being a smartass. Hence, the amusing, to me anyway, subsequent back and forth.

-2

u/-The-Follower 17h ago

It certainly was entertaining, that is true.

-30

u/JohnThatFurryGuy 1d ago

Stop saying weird words

15

u/TaibhseSD 23h ago

My apologies. I wasn't aware English isn't your first language.

-7

u/JohnThatFurryGuy 23h ago

Broski, English is my first language

17

u/TaibhseSD 23h ago

Really? Fascinating.

The way you seem to butcher the language, as well as having a difficult time understanding it, led me to believe it isn't.

My mistake.

17

u/ridinbend 23h ago

An yes, Polish is your first language eh? I too love a good Broski when I'm hungry.
