Engage for Employee Recognition?

Has employee recognition been released within Viva or is it on the roadmap? To be specific, I’m asking about the ability for one employee to recognize and/or thank another employee who did something special and aligned to company values, etc.

Researching online I’ve found a couple of references to it but nothing definitive; demos, etc.

You can do Praise posts in Engage (can also be done more privately in Insights). There are categories like “problem solver” that can be chosen.

It’s definitely a gap. The praise functionality in Engage doesn’t connect to the praise functionality in Teams, which is super odd, so people don’t get a centralized history of praise across tools. It’s also odd that praise in Engage doesn’t automatically show on the recipient’s storyline. We were hoping to use praise in Engage to solve for cross-functional recognition outside of a team but too many gaps to actually promote the feature, which is weak sauce.
