I don’t really know how strong Orobashi (beeg snake) was but I assume stronger than a man-made laser robot.

Shogun is at least as fast as he is, she appears to be teleporting with how fast she can move and has a ‘bajillion slashes before you can blink’ attack like the robot does

Raiden just has pretty insane portrayal and I feel like their verse just generally scales higher.
But Raiden does have better feats NGL.
I feel like saying it could go either way is fair.

Raiden is stronger, but Raiden is so much faster it honestly shouldn't be close. Raiden does have insane durability, though, so leaving Raiden out of the conversation simply won't do.

I personally think raiden would take it here. They have way better feats than raiden and raiden. Even without the feats they have been confirmed to be faster and stronger than raiden, which is faster and stronger than raiden.

genshin raiden literally sweeps the floor with everyone else, and im not even glazing
she has dura neg, just about every form of immortality in the book, and multi-continental+ AP
i will admit shes lacking in speed, so it really comes down to how much you think the difference matters
with that being said though, she has a ridiculous amount of hax and is stronger in almost every regard

Isn’t MK Raiden’s true unrestricted form planetary? I’m aware of Ei’s feats but I don’t think she‘s strong enough to win this. She stomps MGR Raiden though
MK Raiden’s form in the games is generally restricted by the Elder Gods and isn’t a reflection of his real abilities

i mean as far as im aware mk raiden doesnt have immortality negation so itd just be a endless fight between the multi continental+ and planetary raidens while mgr is dead in the corner edit: that and im pretty sure genshin impact raiden has more impressive hax then mk raiden does. So it depends on what you think would win ap or hax

Ei isn't truly immortal though. Archons are a type of god in Genshin's universe and gods can and have been killed (hell, Decarabian was killed by ordinary rebels). Ei just hides in an alternate realm and navigates reality with her puppet. This makes her effectively untouchable in Genshin, since nobody has a good way to get to her, but it's useless here since MK Raiden would just create a portal straight into the Plane of Euthymia and kill her. MK is literally all about interdimensional realm invasions, and even sorcerers can do it
So Raiden Shogun has no sanctuary for her true self (Ei), she has no speed advantage because she's fighting a stronger and more durable god of lightning, and she can't use time hacks because he's immune to them -- he exists outside of time (which is why Kronika's Hourglass was useless against him), and on the flip side he actually is immortal, so even if she killed him he'd just take shape again after a while
So this fight is stacked pretty unfairly in favour of MK Raiden

the question isnt about ei, its about the shogun
im not trying to say she'd win, but the shogun has been stated to be able to live without ei and have an immortal body
with that being said, along with what the other commenter mentioned, i really dont see a way mk raiden is actually gonna be able to kill the shogun (and vice-versa)

So does raiden have some sort of durability negation resistance or what?. Both are immune to their own electricity and mk raidens isnt that much stronger then hers so we wont consider either significantly damaging the other at all with it. and considering their ap difference isnt that immense and their speed and reactions are pretty similar lightning type speed/reactions its pretty much down to hax. Which Eis/shoguns is far better. edit: as for the immortal and coming back part can raiden even kill eis? He doesn't have any soul manipulation hax just a resistance to shao khans hax or whatever you would use to kill a disembodied consciousness edit edit: which literally why i said raidens fight forever cause neither can kill the other for real.

Raiden is the weakest: their greatest feat isn’t that impressive in destructive power.
Raiden is the middle. They’re extremely fast with their lightning related speed, but they aren’t the heaviest hitter.
Raiden is the strongest. They have the greatest feat of power that tips the scale away from Raiden and Raiden.

I suppose if we still have MKR's weakness of unable to use his power in another gods dimension and him having enough ambition to get pulled into the Plane of Euthymia (or she just decides to pull him in anyways), then Ei should easy clap.
But yeah the wacky universal and what not scaling MKR has should mean he wins

When she killed the snake god and split the island in half, it was a really small amount of her power because it was stated that the snake was sent to do a suicide mission.
She is able to fight herself for 500 years straight without rest (her biggest feat)
She has the ability to control all storms in teyvat

She pretty much outclasses in terms of almost all stats.
Raiden from Mortal combat has greater range with his clairvoyance but that's about it. He's slower at around hypersonic speed, has around building level to city block level AP, overall lacks the hax to match her and most lightning attacks he has wouldn't work on Raiden from Genshin because she's immune to lightning.
Raiden from Metal Gear is stronger than Mortal combat Raiden but still not strong enough. Even though he's around city level, Genshin's Raiden is stronger and he's not only outclassed in stats but barely has any good hax abilities to close the gap.
Finally, Raiden from Genshin impact is scaled to Island level from the in-game map due to slicing an island in half and one shotting the Thunderbird that can destroy Seirai Island. However, for gameplay purposes, the canon map in Genshin's gameplay is scaled down quite a bit. So lore accurate Raiden from Genshin is actually around country level and even above that. Vsbattle wiki actually has her on continental, although I'm skeptical about that. On top of that, she has hax like cutting space, has a transformation that lets her stop time itself for landing a guaranteed final calamity slash, has like infinite stamina cuz she fought for 500 years straight, can heal injuries on command with just will power, and in terms of pure combat she originated basically all martial arts in Inazuma and is basically as fast as lightning considering she can turn into lightning.
There's just no way the other two can compete.

ThunderGod > Jack > Shogun
MK Raiden has just better stats.
MGR has decent stats.
Raiden Shogun doesn't have the most impressive kit. And has the weakest of the stats.
If its cooking jack slams with the thundergod Right behind. Fire ass omlets.
If we buy into the hoyoverse scaling and we use Fire God Lukang MK11 because thats Netherrealm Raiden Stats on him.
Shogun > ThunderGod > Jack

MK powerscaling is really weird but in mk4 Raiden states that he fought Shinnok and their battle almost destroyed the earth apparently, they decimated a civilization and earth was covered in darkness for centuries.
And that's mk4 Raiden, the new era Raiden(mk1) should scale higher.

How on Earth did that asshole get such a massive simp army… ahem anyway maybe there’s hope of a decent argument here.
I don’t think Raiden is a horrible person, in fact I think the fact that she eventually is able to experience, accept, and even begin to protect change shows a lot of growth, especially with the previous two archons not changing at all in their stories (Not that they needed to much, just a cool change of pace).
It’s not like she’s evil at least, not intentionally anyway. She thought removing ambition, and loss with it, would be best for Inazuma. Stasis meant no one would ever loose anyone again, she went to Euthymia to defend against erosion, which she saw as a threat to Inazuma as a whole.
After that, though, she finally leaves after 500 years to see Inazuma has changed anyway, despite her efforts, and begins to understand the human nature of growth, even knowing growth comes with pain.
Keep going and she vows to create a better future for Inazuma, and I think her 500 years of constant battle with the puppet, which was torture for her, proves her devotion to that new goal.
Like Inazuma, Raiden stayed who she was at the core, but was still able to grow in a way that will benefit all of humanity.
I think Raiden is pretty cool.
