I find it weird that more actors don't opt out of this part. Seen to many fans saying hurtful shit like the actors are robots, not human or something.

You can make a lot selling autographs or taking photos or doing voice recordings for fans, but at a certain level of success depending on what you do- you have to have security or a handler at minimum to talk to people before they approach you

I think most actors know the very very vast majority of fan interactions at comicons are going to be either entirely unforgettable, or just genuinely good warm interactions. But yes one person can ruin that.

Personality and energy when it comes to people always plays into it as well. Actors at comicons are or often can ba acting the whole time as well. It might not mean it disingenuous or anything but maybe they might be tired or have a headache but they show up, act excited to be there just like their roles in film or TV since they're getting paid for it the same way kinda thing.

I think it helps that they can generally make very very good money especially for less established actors doing them as well.

I also think it's kinda weird to do fan events for a satire of superhero media. Or really treat any aspect of The Boys like a typical fandom would. Like it kinda misses the point.
