I’m not a violent man but my dog is the best friend I’ve ever had. There would have been consequences & I’d gladly accept mine.

These people have a pattern of abusing and killing animals. The GOP is the party of sociopaths.

75

u/WildYams 9h ago

And keep in mind that JD Vance wrote the foreword to this guy's book.

u/LurksAroundHere 7h ago

Especially dogs for some reason, once again showing their "immigrants are eating/killing your pets" fantasy is just more projection from these animal hating assholes.

u/Dudesan 7h ago

Psychatrist J.M. MacDonald identified the three biggest warning signs for serial killers:

  1. Animal abuse.

  2. Arson.

  3. Bedwetting.

The GOP is the party of sociopaths.

Not just sociopaths. Piss-reeking sociopaths.

u/matthew6_5 5h ago

See the Huckabee family. Don't take your pets anywhere near them or you're inviting another True Detecitve spin-off.

u/Swimming_Profit8857 3h ago

Cruelty to and killing of animals outside of hunting, particularly cruelty to domesticated animals and especially cats and dogs, can be a symptop of a psychopathic personality.

An old Sufi anecdote: A sufi sees a man beating a dog. The sufi hears the dog say, "He beats those who are better than he is."

u/davidwhatshisname52 7h ago

all I want to know is if they're eating the dog?

u/LemonNo1342 2h ago

I feel bad if I step on my dog’s tail. Why are republicans so hell bent on being hateful, violent, and miserable??? What kind of life does one have to live in where torturing an animal to death is something you casually mention as a talking point?? I’ve been through my fair share of trauma and never once in my life have I thought I need to take it out on an another person or an animal. Wtf?

u/JAGERminJensen Florida 23m ago

The GOP is the party of sociopaths.

You mean "patriots" right???

125

u/9mac Washington 10h ago

Why are all the GOP weirdos killing animals? Isn't that a precursor for a lot of serial killers?

64

u/RuncibleSpork 10h ago

I believe so. Lack of empathy, etc., it is disturbing.

21

u/winterbird 9h ago

Yeah so the type of people who were a-ok with more people than necessary dying from covid, women dying preventable reproductive health related deaths, and all this thinly veiled talk about some sort of camps for immigrants.

Deaths due to policy are killings too. I'm tired of the idea that it's not killings just because it was done with the swish of a pen and using a chain of delegation.

11

u/IveChosenANameAgain 9h ago

all the GOP weirdos

Not all of them - just the prominent ones in leadership positions driving the direction of the party cult

u/DrunkenLWJ 4h ago

Yes. Forensic investigator here. Though I’m not an expert in psychology, the most common factor across people who harm animals is that they do it because they see the animal as weak, vulnerable and an easy place to fake out frustration and violent urges. It’s the aspect of having power over others that serial killers love. A lot of them think it’s their right to take a life. It’s pure entitlement, and believe me they’re aware of that.

Some of the people who do it will do it as a test, an exploration to the fantasy of killing, to see if they have empathy or not and if they can build up the courage of one day taking human lives.

To fully engage in harming the animal is a sign of psychopathy, though that doesn’t mean they necessarily are one, it’s still a seriously worrying act coming from them that needs to be noted.

TLDR: Yes. It’s entitlement and the fantasy/genuine belief that they are deserving of choosing what to do with a life, all while picking on the weak and vulnerable. They have no morals/rarely have any, and if they do, they’re usually contradicting eachother/ironic. People like the GOP’s clearly have some issues.

u/AskJayce Washington 8h ago

Being a sociopath?

That is a prerequisite, yes.

u/moomoo220618 1h ago

And why do they keep telling people?

They're killing the pets!

u/ME24601 Pennsylvania 10h ago

The reason why Trump's campaign is going all in on lies about Haitian immigrants eating pets is to provide cover for the real scandal: The dramatic increase in Republican officials and commentators killing dogs

11

u/Class_of_22 10h ago

Exactly. Expect more news to come out about this. I wouldn’t be surprised if a thing came out about Vance doing this kind of thing either.

u/LurksAroundHere 7h ago

I imagine his story would be something about him getting angry at telling the dog to get off the couch one too many times and having to take him back out and shoot him. No one gets between him and his couch time.

20

u/doublestitch 9h ago

Every accusation is a confession.

19

u/RuncibleSpork 11h ago

There are many reasons to be terrified of Project 2025, the 900-page document published by the Heritage Foundation that lays out, in great detail, how the next Republican president should lead and reshape the country. (Donald Trump claims to have nothing to do with the group, which is not believable in the slightest.) The manifesto calls for getting rid of the Department of Education. It calls for giving the president total power over certain government agencies that are supposed to be independent. It provides a roadmap for decimating reproductive rights, and says it wants to “maintain a biblically based, social science–reinforced definition of marriage and family.” Not surprisingly, it attacks “woke” issues such as “radical gender ideology.” Also, the guy behind it allegedly told people he killed his neighbor’s dog with a shovel.

16

u/Clicquot 10h ago

and our friend from Texas, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett asking the authors how many times Trump's name appears in the document...1 time? 5 times?....

These people love bragging about killing animals. That’s serial killer behavior.

Oh boy this isn’t gonna go over well with the general public…

That’s pretty much on-brand for republicans - cruelty is a hobby for them.

Easy to blame Haitian people for killing dogs and cats when your own party admits to doing it

Why do republicans hate dogs, and why it is bad for the Harris campaign! —New York Times.

I feel like these guys think the dog murder demographic is some kind of massive silent majority or something?

Are these twisted anecdotes intended to be relatable displays of vulnerability or something?

u/JazzlikeForce1226 5h ago

And they’re blaming Haitian legal immigrants for something that’s been proven false whilst this bastard is bragging about killing a dog with a shovel, and didn’t even eat it! The nerve

What is it with these psychopaths killing pets?!

how roberts would justify, the shovel to the dog's head 20years ago: would have been peaceful. If the dog had allowed [to be]...

The late great hannibal lecter? Why would donny say that? This guy looks like him, weird

u/bigjimbay 2h ago

The headline has it right. Nothing to see here

u/The_DarkPhoenix 2h ago

So either he lied to a bunch of people trying to sound like a wanna-be “bad ass, tough guy” but in reality is really just weak & scum of the earth or he really did it and is lying about it which means he’s weak & scum of the earth. Did I miss anything?

u/DenaBee3333 1h ago

I don’t get it. He specifically says he did not kill the dog. Why the false headline ?

u/twobitcopper 28m ago

What the fuck is the matter with these people. There are plenty of legitimate instances where a pet’s life has to be terminated. To wear that as a badge of honor?

Cold heartiness does not equate to leadership. This mentality leads to the horrifying response to Covid, abortion or the Haitian situation in Springfield!

If you can’t treat a pet dog with respect? That’s a low bar for humanity?

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 73%. (I'm a bot)

It provides a roadmap for decimating reproductive rights, and says it wants to "Maintain a biblically based, social science-reinforced definition of marriage and family." Not surprisingly, it attacks "Woke" issues such as "Radical gender ideology." Also, the guy behind it allegedly told people he killed his neighbor's dog with a shovel.

"My recollection of his account was that he was discussing in the hallway with various members of the faculty, including me, that a neighbor's dog had been barking pretty relentlessly and was, you know, keeping the baby and probably the parents awake and that he kind of lost it and took a shovel and killed the dog. End of problem," Kenneth Hammond, who served as chair of the history department at the time, told The Guardian.

The Guardian notes that none of these people recall Roberts "Ever saying that the dog he allegedly said he killed was actively threatening him or his family."
