When I was in my early twenties I adopted an 11-year-old cat from my local shelter. Nobody wanted to adopt him because he was so old, but once I found out that he was polydactyl I knew that he was the cat for me. Horatio lived another 9 years. Unfortunately he passed away in the first quarter of 2020 and you know what? 4 years later I still think about that kitty cat.

Funfact! Hemingway's cats were polydactyl, and currently there's a cat colony at his house that descends from his original cats! The colony is maintained/cared for by the staff at his house/museum.

Yes, saw that in Wiki as I looked up the word. Fun fast indeed!
