This is just embarassing Xbox

I bought a $666 CAD xbox series x, and then bought minecraft, I went to play with my family and it requires a subscription to play online, after I have spent $700 to play. The cheapest subscription is $12 a month for xbox live just to play online. Thats so greasy. Just milking every dime. Anyone agree? Disagree?

More specifically. Why is it only xbox, not iPad or Pc who has to pay to play locally, anything for a dollar, I have definitely lost respect for them. Just to use the xbox online, i have to pay AT LEAST $12 a month.

Edit: thank you for the responses, there are good points. I do apoligize for the bluntness and being inconsiderate, i was disappointed to have to pay more even after $700, but still, thank you guys.

Its just feels so slimy to me; like they make me pay a subscription to use the $700 console I bought, not many people buy consoles and do not intend on using them online. But yes i do understand what you’re saying.

No, you can use the $700 console without the subscription. If you want the online experience; you need to pay.

Yeah man, but its not like they are very transparent about that. When I’m buying one, there is nothing about paying to play online. And its not like many people buy a console and not play it online. I do understand what you are saying though, thank you.
